For the 4th Year in a Row ProgressSoft as Founding Partner of Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global 2014

Istanbul, November 19, 2014

For the 4th year in a row, ProgressSoft started its participation as Founding Partner in the Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global Conference & Expo, which is taking place on November 19th and 20th at Wyndham Grand Istanbul Levent, Turkey.

Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global is a real who's who of the great and the good from the World of Mobile Money. It is designed specifically to facilitate networking opportunities between pioneering stakeholders from mobile operators, banks, microfinance institutions, money transfer networks, app developers, regulators and NGOs.

The event also covers a wider range of payment technologies through its Digital Payments Summit, which takes place with the already existing Mobile Money Conference. This way the attendees can focus on mobile money exclusively, or on multi-channel digital payments, contactless technology, digital currency, e-commerce, and social media payments.

The opening sessions of the conference featured ProgressSoft's CEO, Mr. Michael Wakileh - ProgressSoft, who presented the audience with his expertise and insights on the subject of launching a clearing platform for multiple mobile payment processors. During his presentation, Mr. Wakileh expressed that "Numerous mobile Payment Service Providers mPSPs are now offering their solutions and the time has come to provide a clearing platform to all mPSPs in a country."

"ProgressSoft innovated its Mobile Payment Clearing Solution which provides Switching, Clearing and Regulatory roles to Central Banks and Clearing Houses. Our proven and implemented solution solves the problem of inter-operability between the different mPSPs. It is a Straight-Through Processing (STP) platform which regulates and liberates the Mobile Payment Service, it eliminates monopoly and reduces inter-PSP transaction cost", expressed Mr. Wakileh.

During the Mobile Money exhibition, ProgressSoft is demonstrating its countrywide mobile payment offering, which include the Mobile Payment Solution (PS-mPay) and Mobile Payment Switch (PS-mpClear). The solutions are designed to enable banked and unbanked customers to conduct various payment transactions, including Person2Person, Person2Business, Person2Government and Point-of-Sale (POS) Payments, as well as Bill Payments, Direct Credit and International Remittances.

This year happens to mark the Silver Jubilee of ProgressSoft Corporation, commemorating 25 years of steady growth and success in the real-time payments and financial services arena. ProgressSoft celebrated this great happening with its clients and partners during its Annual Summit, which took place last month at the Dead Sea – Jordan, gathering nearly 200 delegates from 16 different countries.
