ProgressSoft Corporation concluded today its participation at the Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) Career & Training Fair 2020 which took place from 2 – 4 March in Muscat, Oman.
The SQU Career & Training Fair attracts over 10,000 visitors from across Oman to introduce them to outstanding job and training opportunities presented by over 40 reputable participants from private and governmental sectors. This year, the SQU Career & Training Fair was inaugurated under the patronage of H.E. Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Central Bank of Oman and Chairman of The National Center for Employment.
ProgressSoft Corporation was there to present Omani delegates with opportunities to join its family of dedicated personnel in the field of software development, successfully sparking the interest of hundreds of Omani graduates who have submitted their CVs at the ProgressSoft stand.
ProgressSoft’s participation at the career fair is only one of many collaborations between SQU and ProgressSoft, where both entities have worked diligently together to advance the IT curricula through the introduction of the latest methodologies, frameworks and tools used in software development. The initiative comes as part of ProgressSoft’s keenness to bridge the gap between the educational space and workspace with the aim to equip Omani students in the IT field with the capabilities and skills required in the work field.
