Kigali, July 18, 2019

ProgressSoft concluded an outstanding exhibition at Mobile 360 – Africa, the largest event on the continent of Africa conducted by producers of the renowned Mobile World Congress (MWC); GSMA.

Mobile 360 – Africa gathered senior industry leaders from the tech and telecom landscape spanning all of sub-Saharan Africa to address the opportunities presented by mobile technologies to African citizens and institutions. The event took place at the Kigali Convention Centre in Kigali, Rwanda from 16 – 18 July 2019.

The ProgressSoft team was on call throughout the event at the Exhibition Hall showcasing the latest ProgressSoft advancements that augment mobile payment experiences for banks, mobile network operators and payment service providers in addition to their customers, and networking with event attendees to better understand the rising payments challenges and opportunities in the African market.

Mobile payment solutions on show included ProgressSoft’s Blockchain-enabled Mobile Payments Platform, an advanced solution that supports both e-money and blockchain-based regulated digital currency. Being the first of its kind in the world to be blockchain-enabled, the platform gained massive attention from event attendees and media members interested in learning more about the solution’s distinct capabilities of offering widescale money transfers, bill payments and point-of-sale payments in addition to peer-to-peer instant money transfers using blockchain-based regulated digital currency.

The ProgressSoft team also presented live demonstrations of mobile powered electronic check clearing solutions that include ProgressSoft’s Mobile Remote Deposit of Checks and Electronic Check Issuance solutions that provide customers with the convenience of issuing, signing and depositing checks using their smartphones; facilitating check processes for both financial institutions and their clients alike.
