The move to deploy an electronic shipping documentation system is a continuation of ARAMEX's efforts to streamline its operations and offer enhanced customer service experience. Such scenario was actualized through ProgressSoft's sophisticated solution PS-eDRS. The primal idea of the system started with electronically availing shipping documents, from which signature and other information pertaining to the shipment are extracted and imported to ARAMEX shipment tracking system. PS-eDRS functionality extends to complete archiving and management of shipping and other business documents, ensuring accurate and prompt retrieval of signature and courier information.
"A great deal of time is consumed when conducting manual searching through the huge amount of delivery run sheets produced for thousands of shipments per day. PS-eDRS comprises accurate barcode capture and recognition functionalities, auto image enhancement tools and dynamic document template definition.
