ProgressSoft Advances Industry-Academia Knowledge Exchange with KASIT

Amman - October 11, 2026

ProgressSoft Corporation welcomed staff members from the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology (KASIT) at the University of Jordan for a three-day workshop series held from 5 to 7 October 2026 as part of its Train the Trainer initiative.

The workshops provided participants with practical exposure to industry software development practices, offering insight into how software is planned, developed and delivered in real-world environments, and enabling them to bring these perspectives into their work with students.

Across six sessions, participants followed a software project from a client's first request to a live production system, with each day led by a senior ProgressSoft expert.

Structured to mirror the lifecycle of a real project, the series moved from end-to-end project delivery with Hafez Al Wanni, Operations Manager, to product ownership and requirements definition with Mohammad Mohammadieh, Senior System Architect, before concluding with the professional practices behind reliable software, presented by Mohammad Salem, Engineering Department Director. The aim was to equip participants with a practical, industry-aligned framework they can integrate into their teaching, connecting each stage of software delivery with the skills students need to enter the workforce.

"For nearly four decades, our experts have applied state-of-the-art development methodologies to deliver large-scale projects around the world, and that experience is most valuable when it is shared. By working directly with educators at KASIT, we can help bring the realities of modern software delivery into the classroom and support the next generation of technology talent in Jordan," said Mohammad Salem, Engineering Department Director at ProgressSoft.

The series builds on ProgressSoft's long-standing cooperation with the University of Jordan, which has included modernizing learning spaces at KASIT, contributing to its IT curriculum and delivering specialized training for its students.
