ProgressSoft and GFP Launch ‘Code for Jordan’

Amman , June 18, 2020

ProgressSoft Corporation and Generations For Peace launch the first code-based peacebuilding programme, ‘Code for Jordan’, with the aim to improve the economic, social and cultural participation of Jordanian youth and Syrian refugees in the country.

Generations For Peace is a leading global non-profit peacebuilding organization that plays a vital role in empowering youth leaders to build on local strengths and lead social change to transform conflict in their communities into peaceful societies.

As supporters of the organization’s valuable mission, and in its continuous efforts to bridge the gap between the Information Technology (IT) educational space and workplace, ProgressSoft joined forces with Generations For Peace to launch ‘Code for Jordan’ which will allow software coding graduates to gain the practical experience and technical knowledge needed to flourish in the workplace, as well as engage them with municipalities and government bodies in Jordan including the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship.

ProgressSoft will be responsible for developing the training curriculum, conducting numerous training sessions, preparing all material needed for the successful execution of the program as well as being involved in the process of group recruitment and selection to ensure that the innovative programme provides graduates with future-forward skills that facilitate and advance their employment opportunities.

ProgressSoft is delighted to be partnering with Generations For Peace and looks forward to rejoicing the fruitful outcomes of ‘Code for Jordan’ on youth and the future of IT in the country.
