ProgressSoft Joins Jordanian Government in the Fight Against COVID-19

ProgressSoft donates 1,000+ smartphone devices to the Jordanian Government in support of its new initiative to issue electronic permits for those authorized to move around during the nationwide lockdown and curfew in Jordan.

The smartphone devices will be allocated to police checkpoints across the country and used to verify and authenticate electronic permits, providing enhanced security at the national level and contributing to the shift towards contactless interactions in Jordan.

“We really appreciate the prompt support we have got from ProgressSoft to provide the devices to allow better governance and control for the permits issued digitally during curfew,” noted H.E. Mothanna Gharaibeh, the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, “thanks Michael Wakileh [ProgressSoft’s CEO] for always being there when needed.”

The initiative falls as part of ProgressSoft’s eagerness to support the Jordanian Government during this challenging time. “Without the smart and hard work of the whole team at MODEE, related ministers, teams and authorities, and without the smart and hard work of the whole ProgressSoft team, this grant could have never seen the light of day,” noted Michael Wakileh, ProgressSoft’s CEO, “my sincere gratitude and appreciation goes to all.”
