ProgressSoft Joins the Fight against Cancer

Amman , May 15, 2016

ProgressSoft Corporation, the leading provider of real-time payment solutions recently signed a Memorandum of Understating (MoU) with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) whereby ProgressSoft Corporation will be donating an annual amount to benefit the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC)'s expansion project. The funds collected will help increase KHCC's capacity to treat more cancer patients for generations to come.

The MoU was signed by Mr. Michael Wakileh, ProgressSoft's CEO. During this occasion, Mr. Wakileh expressed his appreciation towards King Hussein Cancer Foundation and said "We at ProgressSoft, are committed to providing support to individuals affected by cancer and living with it. We aspire as well to see organizations focusing on public awareness of the link between environmental factors and cancer, so people reduce their exposure to avoidable environmental hazards."

The expansion project consists of two new buildings that are three times bigger than the existing center. This will allow KHCC to host a bigger number of patients from Jordan and the region and continue to provide them with the best services available. It is also expected that the new expansion will enable KHCC to open its doors annually to 7,000 patients instead of 3,500 as well as 150,000 outpatients instead of the current 100,000. The number of patients on waiting lists is also expected to decrease once the expansion is completed and operational.
