ProgressSoft Presents CBDC at NBG, USAID and the World Bank’s Conference

ProgressSoft participated as guest speaker in the National Bank of Georgia, USAID Economic Security Program and the World Bank’s Digital Currency and Decentralized Finance (CBDC and DeFi) conference which took place from 4 – 5 May 2022 at the Stamba Hotel in Georgia.

The two-day event gathered representatives of international financial institutions, commercial banks, fintech companies and leading organizations in the financial and IT sectors to facilitate dialogue between private and public stakeholders on Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) and decentralized finance issues.

As provider of its renowned Blockchain-based Central Bank Digital Currency among central banks, ProgressSoft was invited to present its expertise on the topic in which its CBDC Account Manager, Hussein Jundi, virtually presented delegates with an insightful overview of CBDC from design and technology aspects to regulatory and implementation points to be taken into consideration.

ProgressSoft representatives on-site also had the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions with representatives and respond to queries related to CBDC implementation approaches and recommendations for central bank strategies.
