ProgressSoft Continues to Support Educating Programmers of the Future in Jordan

ProgressSoft continues its collaboration with Hello World Kids as the founding partner of the Little Programming League Initiative for the second year to encourage teaching programming to students at young ages from governorates across the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

ProgressSoft partnered with Hello World Kids again this year to teach programming to 50 students between the ages of 9 and 13 from the governorates of Amman and Aqaba. The ProgressSoft student team began the Hello World Kids curriculum every Saturday from February 17, 2018.

The Hello World Kids initiative teaches programming to 1,100 students from Jordanian public schools and UNRWA students from various governorates in the Kingdom. The training program is for the duration of 80 hours and students are divided into groups. At the end of the program two students will go through to qualify for the National Little League Programming Contest, to compete against students from other private and public schools that have previously adopted and learnt Hello World Kids curriculum.

ProgressSoft is thrilled to be the strategic partner of Hello World Kids once again after a very successful sponsorship in the academic year 2015/2016, where the Jordan Education Initiative signed the memorandum of understanding with Hello World Kids and ProgressSoft to officially pilot a programming course in the public schools. Today, the curriculum is mandatory for students in grades three to six in 20 public schools and 7 private schools in Jordan.

ProgressSoft aims to continuously support the Hello World Kids Organization and encourage the programming education of students within the Kingdom.
