ProgressSoft Corporation is delighted to announce the successful live run of its Electronic Check Clearing system (PS-ECC) in the UAE by Sharjah Islamic Bank (SIB).
Following in-depth research on the most suitable bespoke solution tailored to accommodate SIB’s needs; the bank decided to adopt ProgressSoft’s PS-ECC to replace their existing ICCS system. The implementation went live on March 22, 2018 and included several of the PS-ECC suite of products including the Bank-oriented Electronic Check Clearing solution, Prompt Check, Post-Dated Check Clearing solution, Prompt PDC, and In-house Electronic Check Clearing solution, Prompt OnUs.
The systems successfully integrated with SIB’s core banking system on a straight-through processing basis for all check transactions cleared using it. The systems also seamlessly interfaced with the Central Bank of UAE’s Image Check Clearing System (ICCS).
ProgressSoft is delighted to implement its PS-ECC suite of products at SIB which will deliver the most advanced electronic check clearing experience for both SIB, and its clients.
ProgressSoft has its PS-ECC solution running the check clearing on a nationwide scale in 9 countries including Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Libya, Nepal, Oman, Qatar, the Seychelles, and Sudan. In the UAE, the solution is being used by other major banks including First Abu Dhabi Bank, Arab Bank and BNP Paribas.
